Important announcement 24.09.2022: The number of participants to attend the conference in Belgrade has been reached and the registration process has been closed.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Belgrade for a fruitful conference.

The conference on rare neurotransmitter diseases will take part from 29th of September till 1st of October 2022 both in presence in Belgrade/Serbia and online.

“Rare neurotransmitter diseases: from novel research to focused treatments through iNTD network strengthening and patient empowerment” aims to bring together clinicians, researchers and patient advocacy groups to enable an interdisciplinary exchange, thus, to promote health for patients affected with rare neurotransmitter related disorders.

The format of the conference will be interactive and will concentrate on working in plenary sessions and smaller group workshops, with the help of clinicians, researchers and patient advocacy groups.

The conference will be held in hybrid mode: the presence mode, with the possibility to join online in case you are not able to travel.

Target audience and participant profile

The conference aims clinicians, researchers, patient advocates and affected families who want to improve their knowledge of rare neurotransmitter diseases: from novel research to focus treatments. As well as those planning a career in rare neurotransmitter diseases, the conference should also appeal to participants from other fields of work where rare neurotransmitter diseases can commonly present (emergency medicine, cardiology, neurology etc).

Fees

The conference is supported by EJP RD NSS. Therefore we are able to offer this conference to you only for a minimal fee.*

The European Commission funds this Networking Support Scheme and therefore funds only persons from countries involved in the EJP RD (Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey and United Kingdom).
A guest from a country outside of the EJP RD is welcome to participate in the conference, however they have to secure their own budget for travel.

Registration fees are the same for both live presence and online participation, as outlined below.

The early bird registration is available until 1st July 2022. The early bird fee of 50€ include:

  • Full 3 day pass for the conference
  • The link for online participation (in case you join the conference online)
  • 3 nights bed and breakfast
  • Lunches, dinners and coffee breaks during the conference
  • Travel costs (organised by the conference organiser) *. We are able to subsidize the flight ticket prices up to 300€.

Late registration will be available from 1st of July until 10th of September 2022. Late and onsite registration fees will be 80€.

Patient advocates /  affected families and young researchers fee-waiver applications

The conference organisers are offering patients and young researchers fee-waivers for up to 20 patients’ advocates,  affected families and young researchers to attend the conference. These fee waivers aim at empowering patient advocates and young researchers for networking opportunities, access to information and sharing experiences.

Fee-waiver / travel award include:

  • Full 3 day pass for the conference
  • The link for online participation (in case you join the conference online)
  • 3 nights bed and breakfast
  • Lunches, dinners and coffee breaks during the conference
  • Travel costs (organised by the conference organiser) upon request / * Only for eligible countries.

Fees are not refundable as the event will be held in hybrid mode. In case you are not able to travel, please join virtually.

Upon submitting registration, you will be contacted by the organiser to follow registration details in regards with the travel and accommodation.

Selection criteria and review process for fee-waiver / travel award (free of the registration fee)

We encourage patients representatives/advocates,  affected families and young researchers to apply for the fee-waiver / travel award.

Candidates will be selected based on their background, experience, motivation and the geographical breakdown. The scientific organising committee will review the applications and select participants. Selection decisions will be announced within 3 weeks following the date of registration.
